I flew in Concorde, supersonic up the North Sea to Copenhagen for the day and then back again in the evening after six hours sightseeing. I seem to remember we were at Mach 2. An unforgettable experience, the food was wonderful and acceleration on take-off thrust you back in your seat. Fabulous.Re: BOOM, breaking the sound barrier c1950s
Yes, the sound barrier was 1st broken by American WW2 fighter ace, Chuck Yeager in 1947 at Edwards AFB in California.Thread Tools | |
