Mobile text messages
Just a warning that might stop theft from your mobile.
My neighbour got a text message on his mobile he didn't use often. It said, "thanks for the change of address information."
He ignored it at first but my friend who is his wife said you
had better give them a ring I have some doubts about it.
She rang the company and said I think you have the wrong number as I am still at the same address for the last 22 years.
They said you have moved. He said NO I HAVE NOT.
Where am I supposed to live then, - London. I do not
live in London and never had done. Well your bill is
now £800. You have also bought two new mobile phones.
After quite a while of explaining who he is and who he is not I think they started to believe him. He also said I bet
I know where these phone calls have been sent to.
They were correct in their guess. Think of cricket teams
in Asia.
So why they have let it go on for so long I don't know.
My friends husband told them in June it was not him
and its still going on.
My friend thinks its someone who works for the mobile
company as they also knew the password. As my friend
had spelt it wrong on purpose it must be an inside job as
others would not spell it the way he did.
Hope you don't have the same problem but if some
texts come like this one for my friend ring the provider
straight away.
