Call me a taxi.

"Dad, you're a taxi"

"What time and where? Son"

"About 0030hrs from my mates"

"Your taxi is booked"

Anyone else run a kids taxi service?

I don't mind, really.
I'd rather them be safe plus it gives me a good excuse to drive my new car

There again I may just embarrass him and go in the van

Re: Call me a taxi.

No thank goodness that stopped when my son bought a car and left home for good.

I never minded though knowing he was safe. I was far more worried when he started acting as a taxi service to all his friends when they went clubbing in Birmingham and Manchester.

The only problem with Malcolm Terry, is that once he'se got one in,
he never knows when it's best to take it out!

Re: Call me a taxi.

Yes ! Even if Nathan does pass his test he can't afford insurance on a car working as a hospital porter, and now he's working shifts it's not uncommon for my husband to pick him up on his way to work himself and drop him home. Luckily they are a decent bunch he works with so often a colleague will bring him home.

Nights out aren't too bad, he's not a drinker so tends not to be out too late but if he is out late he usually gets me to pay for a taxi for him rather than go and get him, think his street cred gets a bit dented when an aging hippy in a car with daisies on it turns up

Grace however has an active social life and has to accept the embarrassment is part and parcel of living with her nanna, she prefers my husband picking her up the Mercedes is more in keeping with what her friends mums and dads have.
