Internet Issues.

Hi

Moved 10 days ago from a small village to a large Town.

Broadband, home landline and mobile keeps crashing.

It is a nightmare.


Keep telling me to do login and online chat, but keep getting logged out.

Any ideas?

distance from exchange can be a problem for the landline. my son in Brighton has a flat in an old house and is served with a direct cable from the exchange. He is lucky to get 1 mb download speed. So that may be why it keeps cutting out.

as for the mobile maybe tall buildings are causing it or even being directly below he transmission mast may be the cause.

thirdly the router may be faulty try resetting it first of all

Without more detail one can only make a wild guess
If using Google Chrome you can get it to remember your log in details

Here again you don't say if you are using a laptop- desktop- MSN or Apple and how far away from the router , if wireless or wired to it.

Does it keep cutting out when connected to the internet all the time, you don't say, only about online chat

have you changed your supplier ie BT- talk talk or any other one? some are notoriously bad on service which you may not have experienced in your previous property

Hi Swimmy do you just have one service provider, have you run a check to see who is best in your area.

You have to keep on at your service provider to sort it out.

Poor Swimmy I guess he cannot see his thread. It is true Meg different areas.
I remember being in Hastings, my phone had no signal????
