Yes. People are given hand outs each week and if roofless are provided with emergency accommodation and temporary accommodation which while is often far from ideal is made available.
Unfortunately the socialists describe this as being homeless because it is not permanent which, like the definition of poverty in the UK creates entirely the wrong impression.
It's not a matter of funding. It's a matter of choice.
If, however, "candidates" choose to spend what is given to them on drink or drugs they have made their choice but even then many large towns and cities provide el-cheepo tents to give some protection.
Me? I'd let them just deal with the consequences of their choice.
