I took some cuttings from a Sedum 'Carl' and placed them in a jar of rain water as advised on a youtube video. That was two weeks ago and lo and behold, there are roots growing from the bottom of the stems (about 20 mil long) and shoots growing from nodes.
What youtube didn't tell me was what to do next. Should I just plant them in potting compost? Do I need to wait until the roots are longer?
I have taken many cuttings from my African Violets in that way too, dongles.
Don't know about Sedums, but when my A.V's have a nice little root system, I pot them up individually then. Otherwise I'd be a bit worried they might rot if left in the water too long?

Thanks Mups, I knew you would be along to help me shortly.
