Hi

Nothing wrong with getting the Taxpayer's money back.

Let us not forget that the then Government, a Labour one, forked out £1.16 TRILLION to the banks.

There is still over £100 BILLION still owing to the Taxpayer.

The sooner we get this back, the sooner we can end the Austerity.

Hi

LLoyds Bank Shares have only been sold on the open market when the share price is above the break even price of 73.6p.

As we pay interest on the money we borrowed to bail them out, we save money by selling them.

Good solid financial management.

Re: Northern Rock sale

I used to care. It would suit me very well if oil and copper prices went up,interest rates went up and global infrastructure went up.

I have to live on my investments and nobody said poor you when my first mortgage was over 12%.

I have become harder as the age increases and more cynical.

From what I've heard, most of them have been snapped up by Russian oligarchs.

Re: Northern Rock sale

I bet my Brother isn't happy with the sale of Northern Rock.
He lost his pension savings of £10k when they were closed
down and the Government took it over for nowt.

Re: Northern Rock sale

We elect people who have no expertise for these jobs then wonder why they make a mess of it (selling wrong price or time) and become greedy and try to make a profit. Our choices are too limited as to who we can vote into office to make any real difference to how it all works out.

Not their fault, they are just not qualified for their jobs and possibly too stupid or too greedy to realise that.
