Drugged Girls

I am shocked, but perhaps I have not moved with the times enough.

I have just heard on the news that 3 x 12 year old girls in Salford have been taken to hospital through taking Ecstacy.
12 years old. Still kids. How on earth do these kids even know about drugs like that? What are they doing in that sort of environment in the first place?

How very sad.

Re: Drugged Girls

Someone evidently gave them to the girls. I don't suppose they went out shopping for them with their mothers.

Shocking isn't it Mups. They are called teddy bear tablets to attract young folk. Their parents must be at their wits end.

Hi

It is not uncommon for your youngsters to know about drugs, particularly from family members, including parents.

Parents use drugs in front of children, as do older siblings.

Well Swimmy, all I can say is I am glad I grew up in a different era, less knowledgeable perhaps, but safer.

I think I might have worked that out myself.

It just seems such a damn pity that kids that age are experiencing that side of the adult world.

Re: Drugged Girls

It's in the interests of drug dealers to get children hooked at an early age. The dealers are foul creatures.

Re: Drugged Girls

For 12 year olds it is much easier to get hold of illegal drugs than to get hold of cigarettes or alcohol. Your friendly local drug dealer doesn't have the same licensing issues as your corner shop.

I don't know about this particular case but it isn't uncommon for parents to introduce their kids to drugs.

Re: Drugged Girls

Salford......a very bad area for drugs.

Kids know a lot more about drugs these days.
I think you'd be very surprised at how many school kids smoke weed on a regular basis.
