ETA Global climate is not just about fossil fuel though. Goodness knows it's bad enough but it's also about the devastating damage to the whole biosphere. It's the poisoning of our environment with exotic materials such as Freon, plastics, toxic releases into the seas, and selective overfishing.
Moore is a charleton. He IS in the same category as David Ike. And like Ike makes a great deal of money with his garbage.
I'll watch the vid later when I've got a bit more time Todger and perhaps we'll discuss it then. However, one thing I do know, and that is; You can't have something for nothing, and whatever form of energy you decide to use will take something away from the Earth and create pollution, you're just changing the parameters.
I totally agree with you about Freon, plastics and exotic materials. But everytime we change the way we do things, like changing from Diesel/Petrol think of all the petrol and diesel engines that will be discarded prematurely, and the gas heating systems [with all the wasted copper pipe] that will become redundant in favour of electric versions in order to become more green. Very wasteful and will offset any benefit by using so called 'Sustainable' cleaner energy. Nothing is sustainable if it has to be constructed.
How many working CRT tube TV's were discarded once flat screen LED TV's became popular? Many places in the world are being destroyed due to mining of newly discovered elements required to make touch screen phones, computers, and speciality electronics like AI. Each time progress provides us with another labour saving device the Earth is once again required to provide the materials.
Todays gadget is tomorrows necessity.
