Re: just a warning
Good post Hazel. Hubby uses a calculator as we go around a store, so when we get the bill it should tally with the amount he has added up. If not, we check the receipt immediately before leaving the store. We do this because of mistakes in the past - like being charged twice for an item.Re: just a warning
Thanks for the information Hazel. Sometimes I do things automatically and don't check the amount (I know I should). I had noticed though that in Morrisons they have changed their process when you want cashback and you now have to OK any cashback amount (before entering your pin number if I remember correctly). You then complete the transaction and get your till receipt and cash.Re: just a warning
I always check my receipts since a friend had bought toilet rolls £1.00 not on receipt, but vit e caps, not bought were on receipt £3.99, when queried they knew immediately what it was incorrect bar code had been put in at H/O why was it still on then?? No answer up to H/O. Booths, never shopped there again. So bar code can be wrong one too.Re: just a warning
Er - http://www.hoax-slayer.com/cash-back-scam-warning.shtmlRe: just a warning
I only usually only buy a basketful of goods at the supermarket and pay with cash and always check my receipt. I have often found discrepancies. I do wonder if those people with trolley loads of goodies ever bother to cross check their goods with their receipts.Thread Tools | |
