Poppy gone over the Rainbow Bridge

My beautiful darling dog Poppy passed away last night peacefully with a little help from the vet....she was very much loved and I shall miss her so much....already the house is so still and quiet. She had a really happy last week as we gave her treats and her favourite foods and she spent time out in the garden in the sun ...she lived a long and happy life!!! 16yrs old.

Poppy must have been a great support to you through your recent illness providing a source of cuddles and normality.

Aysa, I'm so sorry to hear your terrible news. Sixteen years is a great age and you obviously looked after her well and gave her a good life. It will take a while before you stop hearing the sound of her paws and seeing her in the garden.

Reading your post is bringing tears to my eyes because I know what it's like and you never really get over it completely.

RIP Poppy.
