If a dog had bones that size it would stand about 6 ft tall and be a world record beater.

The only place our dogs were permitted to eat bones was outside. Our animals had to know their place, which was only in the kitchen or utility room.

This is a bit awkward when our daughter and family come with their dogs, as the same rules apply. Their dogs aren't used to restrictions, but our home, our rules.

Dogs? Where are any dogs?

As you say, your house - your rules, but it is Realspeed's house therefore his rules.
Also, I can't help but notice, they are old dry bones, not quite the same as raw, bloody bones dripping blood and marrowbone all over the carpet is it.
The thread was just supposed to be a little bit of fun and wit , after all.
