This gives me an extra 15 minutes

Dry shampoo. An excuse for an extra 15 minutes in bed. I've re-discovered it again. Years ago it was a wee toty pale blue puffer plastic bottle. Now you get it in all sorts of sprays, colours and goodness knows what. Some mornings, when I'm really weary and the snooze button gets worn out, I just lie and think "this is going to be a dry shampoo morning". An extra 15 mins in bed. A quick shower with a shower cap on (not a good look ). Then a puff of dry shampoo. Quick brush out. One of life's little treasures when you feel like a wee lie in .

I really like to stay in bed, too. Sometimes, I'll sprinkle a little baby powder in my hair, before I dress. Brush it in good, bending over, and brush it back again. I have long hair, and I swear it works.

I've bought some, Batiste, haven't tried it yet so can't comment on the itchy thing but have to say I love how it feels when I've washed my hair - trying to wash it less often cos it's drying out!!

Meg you're right. There is nothing like a proper shampoo. I need to wash my hair every morning and every now and then I just can't be bothered. That's when I use the dry shampoo. I have oily hair, where my mum has dry hair. Her hair always looks great no matter when she washes it!

The answer to your problem is - Wash your hair in the evening!

Carol, I'm a lazy besom and can't be bothered sometime. I've tried the nightly hairwashing and soon get fed up. Know where you're coming from though . I always think it must be great not to have to wash your hair each day .

Re: This gives me an extra 15 minutes

I was told by my hairdresser years ago that washing your hair daily encourages it to be more greasy. I used to wash mine four times a week when it was greasy, I cut down to twice a week and after a while I noticed a huge difference in it. Still only wash mine twice a week now.

The more you wash your hair, the more oil your scalp produces, and the bigger your problem becomes.

That doesn't work for mags, I'm afraid. Still gets greasy as hell . Most people I know wash their hair daily. I'm just a lazy mare

Girl after my own heart! I washed my hair Monday and yesterday, but still my hair needed a wash today, but I didn't cos I couldn't be bothered! Even though I was going out.

I think I need to look into dry shampoos again. I too remember those blue bottles of years ago.
