Buffet or table service?

If at a restaurant or hotel, do you prefer buffet or table service at breakfast and dinner?

Do you like to go up and help yourself to lots of goodies, or do you prefer waiter service?

I love buffets, but tend to pig out . I think I'm better sticking to waiter service

Although - the not having to wash dishes is a bonus either way

It would be Buffet for me, not fond of having people hovering over me, or indeed waiting upon me.

In the days of the `big houses` with staff the rule was breakfast was laid out and the owners helped themselves. Formal dining was another matter.

My God - helped themselves did they - well I'd go to the foot of me stairs, if I had any .........

Depends on what you are willing to pay for accommodation and what kind of premises. A top hotel in London will be far different from a back street B&B elsewhere in the UK

I am not fussed either way. Most Asian hotels include breakfast which is inevitably buffet and not a baked bean in sight.

However I went to the local club on Saturday and had a beautiful steak cooked perfectly (medium rare), you queued to order it but it was brought to your table.

I'm not one to have beans with everything. I used to hate when the bean "juice" touched other items on my plate!

Theres a simple answer to that - don't have beans
I don't like beans with an egg or egg with beans ..... oh no ....
