Cheap dishes ? ummm no

I am always looking for cheap meals but this is crazy, you need to shop at nearly all the supermarkets picking up reduced items in each to make this work.

While the task seems tedious, I'll agree, it would be interesting to take the challenge just to see if I could do it. My situation would be tough, however, because I don't just feed myself, I also fix meals for my son and his dad. And I don't think they'd be too keen on eating the meals we'd have to eat in order to stay within budget. I can hear them now...

"Sorry, mom, but to heck with this, we're going to McDonalds! Bye!"

No i can't see that catching on. But i think the only way to have a cheap meal is to reduce the portion size and save some for another day!
