Re: Public sector pay rise????

They appear to be in complete disarray, on,y a few days ago they voted to keep the pay cap, now many are speaking out against it. But to no avail it's staying.

Main problem with it IMO is the lower paid get less each year but higher paid get a lot more it's increasing the gap between workers.

I also think they are on dodgy ground giving themselves such a big pay rise while voting to keep others down.

I think they made the wrong decision it's time to give people a rise. I voted for Theresa but sadly I feel a democratic revolution is a possibility.

Of course they are planning to make any changes in november when they can raise taxes and other levies at the same time, deeming any rise meaningless.

How else can they pay for it other than raising tax? We are still borowing £50 billion a year more than we earn, so unless taxes are raised or borrowing is increased then where is the money to come from?

I'd still like to know what we are spending if on because it's not benefits or low wages something bigger is being funded.

How much is it costing us to maintain a military presence in the middle east? And how many people would agree to it if they had the chance to vote?

Indeed we've had a series of wars and peacekeeping sorties since the 90s I believe that's what we are borrowing for.

ONS Statistics -

"In the financial year 2014/15, the UK government spent £258 billion on welfare, which made up 35% of all government spending. In the financial year 2010/11 the government spent £230 billion on welfare, around 33% of government spending."

Therin lies the lie that welfare spending has been reduced under this government....
