Re: Poverty and smart phones
We found many people in Russia who were living in poverty who had phones. It was quite simple, really. The cost of having a cell phone was more inexpensive than land line charges. Everything was black market so while it was inexpensive service was sketchy and sporadic.Re: Poverty and smart phones
A lot of people get them free, my pal has a year old phone yet she could never afford to buy one. Her daughter is working and gets her phones new and free from the shop, depending on how much your monthly contract payment is sets what phones you can have, the more your contract is the better phones you can pick from. When the yearly contract is up you pick another phone and a new contract, the year old phone is now yours and some people sell them on Ebay others give them to family members or friends. My friend has a Sim Only Contract at £8 per month and an almost new iPhone to run it on. Simple..Re: Poverty and smart phones
