Re: Wolf whistling
Confession time again!
When I was a teenager and my friends and I walked past a building site, if we didn't get at least two wolf whistles, we would have been mortified! a shout of "Hello gorgeous" was a bonus. It was always the younger builders that stopped work to wolf-whistle but we never saw any harm in it.
Of course, the proper way to act was to totally ignore them as we walked past, eyes straight ahead, total disinterest on our faces, but we actually loved it! After all, what young girl didn't feel flattered that a group of young boys found them attractive enough to warrant a wolf-whistle.
I think it's rather sad that this generation find it too easy to see offence in every action that other generations found completely innocent and part of every day life.
