Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Good afternoon all. Sunny morning then rain before lunch. Pottering around, stitched another face mask, think I have enough now. Forecast for Glasgow tomorrow looks as if it may be dry so that's good. I hate carrying dripping umbrellas around & my waterproof jackets (with hoods) are a bit heavy in this muggy weather. Not sure if I can cope with the excitement of lunch out and a train journey. Take care.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Morning, Cold here this morning, had to rake out a fleece to wear for dog walking...It's Blooming August FFS.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Good afternoon ladies. Beki enjoy your lunch in Glasgow and glad that the sun is shining for you. Roxy you'll be hoping for sunshine now that your garden table and chairs have arrived. Sun is shining here so I'm off for a walk shortly and might have lunch outside.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Good evening all. Roxy, the table & benches look fab. I hope you get lots of opportunity to use them. Jess, it was lovely in Glasgow but pouring when I left home. I don't think I have worn a jacket, far less a coat, in the last 6 months. So, reluctant to carry an umbrella, my handbag, and struggle with a mask & glasses steaming up, I put on a waterproof jacket. It was too hot & the sun was out in Glasgow. Lunch was OK but I opted for Fish & Chips as I have been hallucinating about them for months. Unfortunately it was cod. I do like cod but it was battered & fried with the skin on. Not something I like. Anyway the chips were great and it stopped me from eating the batter. Do you recall me talking about exercise? I really need to start doing some exercises each day. I feel so unfit & I'm not happy with that. I travelled by train. It was fine on the outward journey but coming home, 3.30ish, the train was busy & definitely little social distancing. That wasn't even peak period. Everyone wore masks & I managed to have a single seat just inside the carriage. I don't know how you can possibly do anything about it. I suppose keeping travel to a minimum is the answer but others do have to work so they have no choice. It was great to catch up with my brother. Have a good evening & take care.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Good morning ladies. Roxy love your table and benches, ideal for the summer weather. Beki glad you enjoyed your day out in Glasgow. That's the one thing about Scottish weather four seasons in one day. One of my friends called yesterday so we are meeting up for lunch on Saturday. Raining here this morning so I wont be going to far.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Morning, Not nice here today at all. Wind and heavy rain, got drenched walking the dog and had to have a hot shower when I got home.....Sheeezzze this is some summer we're having. House work for me this morning than, and after lunch some time with my present audio book and jigsaw.Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)
It's calmed down a lot since I was out with the dog early on, just the odd shower now. Hoping my house in Perth is OK, seems they are having a rare old time of it with the storm. My son is there and as he's not phoned I'm guessing it's alright.Thread Tools | |
