The pandemic has accentuated the need to be more reliant on that which we produce ourselves including food , if we leave without a deal it will be 'swings and roundabouts' on the price of some goods but now is an ideal time to ditch the EU altogether and make our own way. We don't want to be tied down by the EU as we rebuild our economy.
There seems to be a misunderstanding. You are out of the EU since 31 januari this year. The EU and UK are trading on an existing trade deal, that ends 31 december this year.
Presently there are negotiations on a new deal, based on the fact that you are out of the EU. You are treated as a third party country, like any other.
By the way, the way the EU treats you now is the same as any other country will treat you when entering trade negotiations. Look at how the usa addresses the UK stance on NHS in the proposed negotiations for a UK/ usa deal..
