I have been canoeing plenty of times in Oz as many waterways in Sydney have canoe hire. The last time tho that I canoed was in 2017 in Thailand. What an exhausting time I had as I was pushing against a strong current.

This was a much more enjoyable day a week later as I was not doing the paddling.
I once took a canoe down the Catherine Gorge in the Northern territories.
I also did a little gentle white water stuff in Bali where there is a stunning gorge and lovely waterfalls .
As long as it’s warm at the end of it it alright water sports involve getting wet and cold !
Bratty did you mention bears ?
No thank you !
But well done you it looks great .
No I didn’t but I’ve seen plenty of bears. They don’t scare me.
On our first interior camping / canoe trip we had a mother bear looking through our back tent window. That’s what we work up to. Luckily our dog scared it some and it eventually left. She had left her babies up on a ledge not far from us. Ok !That was a bit scary .
We saw this fox too but at a different time and I’ve always wanted to paint it but never got around to it .
