I have to tell you this, it’s the first joke I ever heard outside the home, it was in the schoolyard and I was 7 years old, as you’d expect it’s a corny schoolboys joke told to me by another shy boy I had never met before that day in the yard, we became lifelong friends, he died in 2010 God rest him. It made me laugh back then and I’ll never forget it for it showed me that by using humour you can make friends with almost anyone, and that’s not a bad idea when your starting off in life.
