Re: BREXIT: The Facts Behind EU Propaganda
I think some mistake my criticism for a near hatred. It’s not; I love the old homestead, but chose not to live anymore in the self-seeking, me me me place it has become. I, like many of you, grew up in a different era and I wanted that lifestyle back. I worked in UK Inner Cities and even eight years ago, it was a jungle. You drove at night with the car doors locked, didn’t go near an ATM unless it was within a bank and tried to avoid the police ‘tax collectors’, who prowled the motorways looking for victims to give a ticket to.
I got fed up of subsidising others in a tax system which said the more I earned, the more I lost and did what an estimated 55% of Brits wish they could do after leaving the EU (Yahoo finance) I emigrated, long before it became fashionable to do so. I earned a good living in the UK, but it wasn’t about the money; I have a much more preferable lifestyle now. That’s my basic story. Some can hack it, some can’t and others don’t want to. Yet others wander through life with blinkers on and their fingers in their ears. Those are the people that voted in what you now see in the UK.
I’ll give you a little known quote from George Bush, but applying equally to the UK "[…]
if the American people ever find out what we have done, they would chase us down the street and lynch us." The irony is, it won’t happen, because come the next election, the majority will fall for it all over again. A recovery can’t begin with the same people in power who sat back and watched the recession happening in 2008 and voted for fascism in the EU to further themselves and their own careers.
Out of the EU by the skin of your teeth, you now need to get rid of socialist policies which are dragging you down and get back to some wealth creation. Capitalism didn’t fail; it just wasn’t designed to support an entitlement welfare society. BREXIT was about self-determination and self-reliance, but now the real problems begin, as there is nothing presently to base a recovery on. The UK has to get back to producing and competing with the rest of the world.
