Re: What book are you reading now?

I've just finished reading 'I invited her in' by Adele Parks. I enjoyed it very much.

It's about two friends who haven't seen each other since Uni. One turns up on the others doorstep seeking shelter. She's invited to stay and then sets about destroying her friends life...

I'm going to Google more books by this author. I like her.

Murder on a Winter Afternoon
by Betty Rowlands (author)

Quite enjoying this middle aged lady crime writer finding herself in the middle of a real murder. One of many in the series not the first I've read.

Re: What book are you reading now?

I just finished "The Next Person You Meet In Heaven", another of Mitch Albom's books.

I enjoyed the first, and this one continues to tie in the theme. Love it, and a very easy read.

I finished Gigi McCaffrey's book about Pern, Dragon's Code, it's the planet her Mother Anne McCaffrey wrote about. Gigi has captured it well. I do like fantasy fiction. Hopefully she'll write another too.

I read all Anne McCaffrey's dragon books,Tiff, when I was young. I think they would have made good films.
I will look out for Gigi's now.

I've just finished, "From the Heart" by Susan Hill, very disappointing. It contained very emotive issues yet no emotion. Probably the most bland book I've ever read.

It was published in 2018, I got my copy from Amazon. A Christmas present to myself.
There was talk about making a film of Dragonflight, but it never happened. There was a documentary of Anne's life on TV many years ago & in that they showed some clips from the film, it was a animated film, but nothing more happened.
It would be brilliant if someone made a film, specially with all the special effects in animation there are now or even a mix of live & animation, as in Avatar.
