EVs wont solve uk's congestion problems?
Latest research suggests that ev's will not solve our
problems around traffic congestion and will create problems
with electricity reticulation systems?
Seems to be a logical conclusion to come to imo?
The only benefit of ev's will be in the pollution reduction!
So where do we go from here?
Imo we should not go overboard with ev production as it
will only be a fix for pollution, which allthough important, will
not solve the congestion we experience every day all across
the country as well as the parking lottery we have endure
and pay for in the urban enviroment?
I think we have to have a public debate and possibly a vote
on whether we can wean ourselves off of the one man one
car mind set we seem stuck with at the moment? And go
for a system of free public transport in urban areas,
combined with an integrated parking set up around the
outskirts of towns?
Private vehicles should be banned from town centres?
This is all going to be very unpopular with the citizens but
If uk really wants to cut pollution and congestion something
like the above is going to be necassary!
Can anyone suggest any alternatives?
