Dinner/Luncheon parties!
There was a time - I am sure there was - when guests turned up and ate whatever you gave them. These days the world is so beset with food fads and allergies that planning a menu is a nightmare!
Of the five people joining me for lunch tomorrow:-
D - everything has to be free from Gluten, Dairy, Eggs and Carbs. Doesn't like salad. Won't eat fruit.
W - allergic to kidney beans, capsicums and chillies. Won't eat prawns, sprouts, shellfish or gammon.
B - Cannot have anything cooked or dressed in Olive Oil - makes her violently sick. Doesn't like food cooked in wine. Doesn't like sauces. Won't eat Indian/Japanese/Polish/Greek food at all. Doesn't like cooked apples. Won't eat broccoli.
M - Won't eat beef - sets off her IBS, cannot eat cucumber, frozen peas, or cherry tomatoes because the skins are too hard to chew. Doesn't like salads. Soup has to be served in a mug because her frozen shoulders prevent her from using a spoon!
T - Won't eat lamb or pork. Doesn't like any fish except tinned tuna! Won't eat anything spiced or cooked with garlic.
It's a challenge!
