Re: Post your daily exercise routine

Managed a 3 hour workout on Saturday and I'm very pleased with it. Thanks to my legs being on good form I shifted a total of 117,150kg, used 1,777 calories and had my first ever 100/100 workout. I certainly slept well after that! Feeling in great shape the next day too, with no aches and pains.

Weights below are totals, and done in various sets of intermixed reps...
Crunch: 90x50kg
Back extension: 90x67½kg
Leg sled: 603x120kg
Pec deck: 11x30kg, 11x35kg, 10x40kg, 20x45kg, 70x50kg
Chest press:10x30kg, 10x35kg, 10x40kg, 20x45kg, 46x50kg
Leg curl: 100x35kg
Leg extension: 50x35kg
Hip Abduction: 180x40kg
Hip Adduction: 158x40kg
Pulldown: 40x50kg
Low Row: 40x50kg
Curls (alternating & twisting): 60x14k, 200x9kg

I have no idea why my legs were "in the mood" for a lot of reps but I'm not about to argue with them. Thanks to Floydy's advice on curls my arms look pretty good now and I am really enjoying doing the curls on the cable machines.

Re: Post your daily exercise routine

A while back you mentioned you were feeling the difference, Tachyon, it must be very satisfying to be able to see results too. I am envious, in a good way, of your ability to spend three hours in the gym! I am having to squeeze in runs during the most peculiar times of day.

While OGF was likely wrapping up his eight, I was snoozing away, only to be blasted awake but a fast moving line of thunder imbedded storms. Up an hour before dawn, I decided to give it a go wearing everything reflective I own short of the car's tail lights. It is a little spooky to be out running around this time of day but it sure was cool - and fun. Five miles plus one to pay for the a late dessert I plan to enjoy after taking my mom to see Downton Abbey.

I bet you had a peaceful run, too, at that time of the day. I can just picture someone who spotted you trying to convince other people he really saw an ethereal, glowing woman racing silently through the dawn light! I hope he succeeded, lol.

That's such a nice description, Tachyon. It was indeed very peaceful and I am sure that I was a sigh, alright! . It's a rare treat to be out before dawn when the birds sing to make the sun rise.

Five miles in pure sunshine and nary a bit of reflective tape anywhere .

Re: Post your daily exercise routine

Nice run Surfermom.....

Here's a description of my Tuesday five.....

Been and done my early morning five, I don't think the Iron supplement is working....
The run resembled a damp firework.....I lit the blue touch paper and loads of fizz and smoke, as I bounded (yes bounded) down the street I had visions of the biggest, brightest firework I've ever seen.....Or the best run of the year.....And then it fizzled out and dropped on the floor....Snarly dogs, mud up to my groin and a poor time...
But don't despair....Made it home okay....

Re: Post your daily exercise routine

Well, OGF, I suppose the muddy and slow runs happen so we can have the Olympic ones to compare them to! Another will come your way soon enough, I'm sure . Glad to see you are feeling energetic from the iron. I wouldn't pack away the fireworks just yet.

We are finally, finally breaking the heat this weekend, but it's another cooker out there today. After 15 hours in the car yesterday, you better than anyone knows how good it's going to be to get out there and loosen things up for an hour.

Mud and dog report at seven....

Re: Post your daily exercise routine

Hi

Been at Clinic today for an assessment after my Hospital acquired Infections.

I have 13 weeks of Physio ahead of me, starting with gentle sit down exercise.

If only they knew.

Re: Post your daily exercise routine

I try to run every other day - about five miles. I fear I am not as fast as I used to be however
