It is indeed the Ford Consul Capri, derived from the Consul Classic. The Classic was derived from the Ford Anglia, hence the reverse-rake rear window on the Classic and the use of Anglia-derived engines.
Not many were sold in the UK - around 125,000 (all variants) - soon the Ford Cortina MK 1 arrived to take over the mid-size market and the Ford Corsair was introduced for those wanting something in the "Classic" mould.
