I too have considered a pilots licence & I have flown a two-seater but as is so often the way, other things come first.

Some challenging occupation that makes me want to punch the air on a daily basis.
I have experienced that sort of competitiveness, the competitiveness was more important than the money.

Looking after isolated islands I would have liked that board and lodge all paid for and a wage at the end.
In my day these jobs where never heard of.

Working with dead bodies, i.e. Funeral Embalmer, working in a Morgue, or Forensic Science.
Did apply for Embalmer when I left School, but they would not take on girls/women only boys/men were allowed.
