The Markets are opening again

Hi

Both the outdoor and indoor markets are opening again.

Happy days, cheap plants and meat.

Heaven.

Oh I love markets - they aren't so common up here though, apart from Farmers Markets. I went to one in Leeds and it was fabulous! Really enjoyed it....until I wandered round the back and they all started staring at me *ahem* I think I may have stood out as a visitor.

I have no interest in markets. I do my weekly grocery shopping at 7ish on a Monday morning, before it gets busy. I buy everything else I require on-line.

Re: The Markets are opening again

Hi

I love them, especially at this time of year for the plants.

Loads of locals with small plots and their prices are a fraction of the Garden Centres.

I particularly like the Grandparents and Littlies stalls.

The littlies think it is great when they sell something and it teaches them to work.

The prices are amazing , £4 a pot for things that cost £20 in the Garden Centres.

Yes I agree Swimmy . Supporting local market stall holders is a must if they’re to survive .

I love markets, any kind, and car boots. Never buy anything from the latter but when I did selling I liked wandering about, after a loo visit.
