That is so terrible to hear - unfortunately, not the first nor last - this doctor is not credible at all - truly shocking ...
So sad for you and the family involved especially your Brother in law and your Sister .......

Re: Doctors - do you trust them?

What a terrible injustice done to these people. Had this man been treated early on this could have been prevented and now he will lose his life and his wife lose her husband. Thats exactly the problem with some doctors..they are happy to take your money without providing the care that is expected. Terrrible terrible thing to happen. Many years ago our neighbor developed a cough and went to the doctor. Was treated for bronchitis. Never got well..went back and forth for a year just to finally find out it was lung cancer all along.

The latest update regarding my BIL..He has been seen by another Oncologist who after a further scan says that he is much stronger now and the cancer is not as severe as they at first thought. They are currently discussing the possibility of either Chemo, Radio Therapy, or even an operation to remove the growth. These options will be discussed next Monday. Needless to say we are all feeling cautiously optimistic at the moment.

I have a lovely doctor, although very rarely see him, as I keep away as much as is possible.
