I wouldn't shop anywhere were there is a chance of having part of my shopping refused to me.
A place like that would not get my custom.

Would be interesting if they admitted that they had dropped their policy of allowing their Muslim staff to refuse handling certain items.

Do remember the case of a trainee Jewish cop at Hendon who insisted that he should not have to work on a Saturday as it was his sabbath and was dismissed because of it said he was going to sue and was pointed out to him what did the police do in Israel on a Saturday.

Supposed to have happened a few years ago but sorry could not find a link so might have been an urban myth.

My partner said in another council office there's been a few rows regarding xmas , because there must be a skeleton crew on to cover emergencys , the staff ratio in that office is approx 90% muslim and 10% other , there's just a few that are christains, xmas just gone the couple christains was ask to work over xmas , they refused saying it's our holidays , there was hell to play , the management threating discipline and all sorts , they work ,


Only way I can prove this , is yours to meet the person , my mate works for london transport , he very high up in the office , he was telling me at Xmas time , he sends emails out to the many bus station , asking them not to put Xmas decoration up because it can offend , he said some bus station might , and he turns a blind eye , but it's london transport policy ,

Most Muslims I know celebrate Christmas more than Christians do, so that would make complete sense they want to celebrate too. Perhaps the managers should have asked who celebrated rather than make assumptions.
