I wouldn't bother, but then I don't think I've ever needed to change one. But best to be safe. Actually, to be extra safe what you could do is switch the fridge off, throw all the contents away, wait until it cools down and throw the appliance away. Buy a new one as it would surely have a nice bright bulb in it. Obviously buy some new food as well, or things would get a little pointless.
