I had Sciatica last year and I swear the pain must have been worse than giving birth although I don't have children I know when it's unbearable.I was prescribed a cocktail of drugs for the pain, they knocked me out which was great some of the time but it meant I couldn't function as normal.
It's very difficult for a GP to know what will work for the individual and sometimes it's a case of trial and error as not all of us have the same pain threshold

Surely you see people at some points in your career you have thought have been advised badly ? if not I wonder what sort of nurse you are because the nurses I know all say that at some points they have been uncomfortable with what a patient has been given.

I have not said or inferred she is not a nurse - why would I ? I don't know anyone personally here I believe what people tell me because I tell the truth myself.
