The British never wanted to be ruled by the EU, they just wanted to be part of what was called The Common Market...but it went too far.
The USA probably don't want Trump to be their president, but to them Clinton appeared to be the worst option of the two. Their vote is being strongly associated with the same feelings that Britain had about Brexit... and there will be no winners in either case!

Listening to US voters on the radio I get the impression that many felt 'enough of the Clinton dynasty' and although they didn't like Trump either thought they would vote for a change and see what happens. If the worse comes to the worst there is always the next election to look forward too which seems to have started already with Michelle Obama being mentioned as a candidate ....

It never ceases to amaze me how people can be taken in by these 'control' types, meglamaniacs ?Even when they contradict themselves (which seems to be part of the package) some just fail to realise what slimebags they really are until the damage is done. (Tony Blair for example)
Whether or not they are actually beneficial to the running of their countries, companies etc. is dubious.
The ultimate goal is power, control, attention.
All else is superficial.
