Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Good Morning Folks from a cold wet Lanarkshire...I thought a red sky at night meant it would be a fine sunny morning next day...wrong...mibbe the shepherds house was on fire

Well I was rudely awakened at 6am this morning by a mob' phone number calling My landline which the answer phone picked up....no message left on it.......See Ya All later,x.

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Good morning everyone . Got up this morning to heavy rain . As I have 4 dogs I hate the rain ! ( all that drying of dogs ) So laid out the towels and set off for the forest walk . It's a 10 mile drive to the forest .
Got half way there and guess what no rain ! No rain at the forest either and not only that the ground was dry too . Yay, I felt like I'd won the lottery !!

Myrtle , my daughter is keeping better thanks and my grandson has his plaster off now and is running around as if nothing had ever happened . So that's good news !

Mike , I grew up in Grangemouth . Quite exciting when the refinery went on fire and all the fire engines were tearing down the road . Everyone would be out looking !

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Had to take my dogs the Ardwell pond walk today . Of course I love it there but the reason I had to go was that there is a shoot on at the big estate near my house . My dogs are absolutely petrified of all the loud bangs so they would not have enjoyed it here .
Just wondering if all these people who like shooting would like to go to a war zone where they could be actually killed themselves .

Sounds like you have a shower of Hoo-ray Henry's on your door step Abbey. All noise and no brains (or conscience).

Mike , they come from all over the place and pay hundreds of pounds so they can shoot defenseless birds . I know of someone who pays a fortune to go and shoot wild boar in Poland . Bizarre what some people call fun .
