Re: Emmerdale

I believe the police opened up the cellar doors from the outside. I heard what sounded like sawing, or some equipment. They'd dropped the padlock keys in the water so the doors had to have been opened from the outside.

Re: Emmerdale

But what were they doing in the cellar when the first hostages just opened the front door as normal?
And how come with all the electrics + water down there, no swimmers got electrocuted until Cameron copped it I wonder?

Re: Emmerdale

They were those bulkhead lights for outside use, it was when that one got ripped away that it exposed the wires, but, there was the pumps & sockets I would have thought.....Still don't know why they went in the cellar at all really....odd!

Re: Emmerdale

Well I thought it was all totally powerful and brilliantly executed, although there were a few flaws.

At the end, Cameron grabbed hold of a lamp which had a metal shade and which eventually electrocuted him, thank goodness, but I would not have assumed that a cellar door where the dray men deposited the barrels could be opened from the outside, but would be unlocked from inside with a simple bolt when the dray men were due, but I've never been a landlady so I could be wrong.

The police helicopter was ridiculous because a chopper would not have been able to fly in such inclement weather with high winds and driving rain, so a helicopter could not have been seconded, despite Cameron's demands for one and, in any case, where would it have landed for Cameron to get a free run to it? The fields were many many yards from the village so he would have been gunned down before he went a few feet and there would have been a marksman in the helicopter anyway.

Trivia perhaps, but it did make for an excellent conclusion to this storyline and now is the time for Chas and Debbie to heal.

Re: Emmerdale

When Cameron let out all the other hostages he was sitting on the floor barring Chas's way, saying 'not you' and dragged her back inside, her screaming for him not to touch her. He must have kept the door keys.

Debbie had gone to the cellar with those keys to check out on the noise Marlon had made, and they were therefore available to pick up by the girls.

Or in the dark Twiz as I was saying in another thread straining to see the action in the dark isn't so easy.

Re: Emmerdale

No exactly. How on earth did the girls manage to see under water & hold their breath for so long, I noticed them actually talking while submerged!

Is it me or has Emmerdale gone a bit quiet since Cameron left?

Re: Emmerdale

They can't keep up that level of drama all the time, that's where Emmerdale is so strong IMO they are not afraid to calm it down for while and don't make it excitement excitement all the way like some soaps try to do.

I think the best bit of the week was poor Alicia trying to explain to Jacob about his parentage, and Cain suddenly realising he actually has a son !
