It's simply that some just see both sides of the conflict.
Israel are indeed a small country in relation to their neighbours.
Israel are also well able to take care of themselves with a rather well equipped army and a great deal of financial backing from a foreign power (who also happen to dislike their neighbours).
Do Israel have the right to defend themselves?
Of course they do. That doesn't mean they have carte blanche and that some of their policies are suspect if not downright questionable.
Some observers are just not sycophantic that's all.
Well said.
One more point, the Arab League Summit 2018 is being held today, it will be interesting to know what will be the outcome of those talks.
Israel of course have the right to defend themselves and so do the Palestinians, but let us not forget that this situation will be a prelim to US moving it's Embassy, and any changes arising from that. I doubt this is going to resolve itself in a few weeks, and from that angle the atrocities that could arise from the situation is likely to be far worse.
Will we hear about them on the national news ?..... yet again, probably only one side or an alternate, diluted version of events ,depending on what they want us to know.
I believe Israel have got a bigger battle on their hands in the near future, fuelled by Trump. What happened to his promises of being a great mate of Putin, getting the Israeli problem sorted, and all the wonderful things the new messiah was going to accomplish ?
Is it still on the cards.. and how ?
My concern is the words that are used. The fact that May has also said , quite clearly, that Syria is to "deal with it's own affairs", and the latest intervention was "nothing to do with regime change", is giving credence to any further attacks from Israel, as nothing to do with UK, US, or France. What total rubbish!
The whole war in Syria has been triggered initially with a view to getting Assad out , Israel wants him gone, as Israel wanted Sadam Hussein gone ,supported by the West.
Israel wants Iran the same . So none are about to give up yet . If Iran should get involved in defence of Syria, then that would be a different ball game and US ,UK, France and others would come running..
Human rights issues don't seem to be raised for the Palestinians and to suggest that Israel could cut the water supply, is downright evil .
