Has any one any idea what "One day "is like, every one is talking about it, but they dont seem to like the Film that has just come out.

I am reading Choral Society by Prue Leith. About three middle aged women who befriend each other when they join a choir. Enjoying it

That sounds interesting sordy, might have a look at that, like thrillers but cant do with sloppy books.

I find reading difficult at time, the weight of the book and makes my neck ache so I 'read' audio much better and can listen while I am doing housework etc

Very true!!
I love the Brontes too ... my favourite story of all is Jane Eyre ... I see there's a new film of that coming out ... might be worth a peek?!

Jane Eyre, Jamaica Inn & Rebecca - all great reads. Loved to hear them on the radio too. Not to keen on the tv/film adaptions though.

Visited my library today & found three books by Kate Atkinson; Started Early, Took My Dog - Case Histories & One Good Turn. Really looking forward to reading them.

the shell house by linda newbery
not my normal sort of book, alternatly in the first world war and the family home at the present time, it is a story of young love ,faith and sexuality. As two young people unravel a mystery
