Ruins of a cottage at Carrbridge. My partners daughter studied Scottish history and was able to tell us when it was built, who would've lived there. Fascinating.

View from Taychreggan Hotel. Once voted Scotland's most romantic hotel. We spent a weekend there last year.

Harvest time, taken at the north end of the village. Every year more and more land is going under the plough to grow barley for the whisky industry.



Cullen - home of Cullen Skink. Fantastic viaduct overlooks the golf links and great beach.



Something a bit different... Speed Day at the Grampian Transport museum. Free rides in high performance cars...



Sunnyside Beach - only accessable on foot after a mile walk - but worth it

But did they have a good cafe' at Glasgow Botanics Myra?
Always the test of a good visitors centre....

Thanks Robert . The cafe is in a Victorian building in the grounds. Apparently it's lovely, but we're packed lunch people on walks . There is a stall that sells hot rolls, ice cream and cake. Some of the stuff looks and smells delicious
