During the 50's around 70% of the population smoked. It's around 20% now

No wonder the NHS is in crisis, all that lost cigarette tax

No problem: they tax other things to make up the shortfall. Diesel cars, business rates, window tax?

A move to Gibraltar may be a good idea.....where cigarettes are about £1.75 per 20 instead of £9.00........a saving of about £350 p/m


Then there's big savings on food shopping and alcohol

Not for me, I'm afraid. I don't smoke, don't eat and don't drink.

Well, I don't smoke anyway.

And living in Gibraltar could be dangerous. It is going to be handed over to Spain when we leave the EU.

It's a scruffy place anyway.....good for a visit....a night on the pop for example.

When entering Gib by foot or vehicle(from La Linea) you cross the runway.

I'll always stir meself to defend them once anyone jumps in to take the opportunity to have a pop at them for no good reason... saying you hold your breath when you walk past them does rather qualify.
