IMHO Boris is using the right tactics so far and is putting the EU on the back foot all the time while retaining the moral high ground.

Some of the UK factories have already producing like Novavax for example but you're right in that it can't come soon enough.
Roll on the VMIC starting production.

Even Pfizer are warning the EU that what they're doing is wrong I see.

AZ and Oxford embarked on a not-for-profit vaccine as a philanthropy project. After the lies spread by Merkel and Macron about AZ and the vaccine nationalism seen by the EU, not surprisingly, AZ are saying in future they won't bother. Instead, they will sell their vaccines in the same way they sell their other products.

Quite honestly, I don't blame them.
