It seems that they were reported by a neighbour, but the police had asked the public to help so maybe it was a genuine report.
After seeing the couple read put their written speech, on the news, it looks like they may be after some compensation.....or maybe an Oscar!

I still don't get this Bruce.I read that a neighbour reported the chap simply because they had seen him flying a model helicopter from his driveway.
But as I said pages ago, if it wasn't a drone, what was it?
If Police, bystanders, the Army, and Airport workers all thought they saw and heard a Drone, how can so many people be wrong? There was either something in the sky or there wasn't!
It doesn't make any sense to me. Is it a cover up, or distraction for something else?
