Rubbish. The very nature of the word civilisation conveys a unique meaning. The etymology of the word has no equivalent in the animal world. Likewise HUNTING for food is VERY different from hunting for "sport" and discriminating between human races is FAR from being delusional. It is simply recognising a FACT.

I agree with Muddy's argument, which might suggest that there wasn't much that this young lass could have been expected to use, in defensive thinking, when it's quite possible that some perv produces a police id card and tells you to get into his car, maybe on the basis of him pretending you're being done for breaching coronavirus rules.

The perv, almost, has the opportunity to commit a "perfect crime" in those circumstances.

But, also, I agree with Cinder's view, mainly on the basis that we must assume that there are pervs all around the Country & we should be taking on board some risk prevention.

I wouldn’t like to be in Cressida Dick’s shoes at the moment. Not whilst the Metropolitan Police face a few inquiries over the handling of this case.

Let’s hope it’s not another, ‘Lessons have been learned’ outcome!

Sarah Everard was last spotted by a doorbell camera on the A205 Poynders Road in Clapham at about 21:30 GMT on Wednesday.

Was well past the common so that has no relevancy.

Ah so because she managed to cross it that’s alright then ? This is about risktaking btw.
D’you think young women ought to be free to take these kind of risks when they ought to be aware of the many who have ended up missing or worse , dead ?
The best way to answer that question is to ask yourself “ would I do it .?”

She wasn’t a child and it wasn’t Clapham Common it was an A road .I did a paper round as a child and had to go out in winter the dark . It was frightening and I would not allow my child to do this but everyone did . People go out at night all the time eg nurses on shift work most people who live in London don’t have a car and do walk.

Police genuinely shocked and struggling with the facts will be thorough. They have to get this right.

The Metropolitan Police are said to have searched the entrance to a network of tunnels and a deep shelter running underneath the suspect’s former family garage.

Officers with specialist electronic search equipment are reportedly examining the Western Heights of Dover.

The Metropolitan Police Service is facing an independent inquiry into whether it properly investigated a claim of indecent exposure involving Couzens days before Ms Everard disappeared.

Scotland Yard said it had referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) over how the indecent exposure claim was dealt with.

The alleged indecent exposure, involving another woman, happened on 28 February, at a fast food restaurant in south London – three days before Ms Everard’s disappearance.

Oh I think you’re making excuses . I would like to see CCTV footage of the common and the streets this unfortunate young woman walked to see how populated they were . Having said that perhaps taking a taxi home from visiting the friend would have been safer ?
What we did as children isn’t relevant and if you were frightened in the dark why did you not tell your parents you didn’t want to do it fhs ?

Re: Sarah Everard

Think what you like but please don’t tell me Im making excuses .I don’t need to make excuses to have an opinion .
Yes it would have been wiser ( as I said in an earlier post ) not to walk but it doesn’t mean to say it was her own fault for getting murdered .
I did a paper round because I wanted the money we were always hard up.
