Thanks Mags, it was a great day out and while a bit windy in places I was surprised how calm the sea was. Cobwebs well and truly ejected....

What a gorgeous set of photos and by the way your skies looked with the wind blowing the clouds about with periods of sun, it looks like your weather has been much like ours. Also noted is that the condition of Scarborough castle is not unlike the condition of my own home after I had left it vacant for the last several weeks.

What a lovely place. As bays and coves tend to generate good swells for surfing, I think I'd like to run the beach early, surf the afternoon away, and then stroll the area by night.

Did you stay over?

Thanks Surfermom, Scarborough is by far one of the best resorts on the East Coast of Yorkshire. It was the first seaside town in England to be recognised by the Victorians after the railway connected it to Leeds. The North bay normally attracts lots of surfers and I was surprised not to see any today. Apart from the colder waters you would be well at home here.....

No I didn't stay over in Scarborough, it's only about an hour and a half drive and I look for any excuse to go for a drive.....
