There is damage from this loss of face far broader than in trade alone.

And now the world is watching and waiting. Is the system capable to avert a catastrophic conclusion? The whole world sees you heading for a disaster, brexit. Is somebody trying to stop it?
It looks like the sinking of the titanic while the orchestra keeps playing romantic music. The UK is sinking and your politicians, from corbyn to farage and may in the middle, keep playing their party political games.

So, no the system is not able to stop the catastrophe, it will be up to the people to do so.
Why are you so interested in the UK, Solasch? Do the Netherlands have any such problems with their government, economy etc?
Serious question

Like several other countries we hgad groups/part ooi es arguing for a nexit. Then the UK showed us brexit. We have several independent research institutes who looked at the consequences of a nexit. Here research is less politicised than in the UK, so no need to invent terms like project fear.
The results iif these studies were accepted by all (political) parties.
For the european elections we have now critical incentives to change the EU from within. But no one wants to lose all the benefits EU membership brings so nexit is dead and burried.

Solasch is actually Dick Schoof of the Algemene Inlichtingen en Veiligheidsdienst tasked with preventing the loss of the UK's financial contribution to the EU so that the low countries don't have to increase their contribution. He has zero interest in the welfare of the UK.

I watched that with interest.

All I can say is that, when it comes to public speaking, Farage is the complete antithesis of Diane Abbott!

Despite the attempts by the various callers to criticise Farage, he always came up with an honest and persuasive answer.

Whether you like him or you detest him, you have to admit that Farage makes May, Compo and many others of our crop of MPs look like political pygmies.
