I think that one thing that misled me was the appearance that the black serrated sections were offset, like cams. Just the lighting, I suppose.

please do , finding things isn't as easy as one thinks. First of all my criteria was it must be fairly small to go on a desk to be photographed. It should be not that uncommon that no one knows what it is and finally a full picture of the object to prove that it was that object taken.Micro or angles not usually seen is better so please have a go
