And the EU is still not giving it to the UK! Could it be because the EU is holding all the cards (again)?

That would be why they're squealing and stamping their feet, would it?

Your another one who should read my posts on equivalence and recognition.

The ECB is run by a convicted criminal - not recognising the UK financial regulations would mean it wouldn't recognise any others in the world that do. When criminals are in charge of banks it sends a clear message to the world, not recognising the controls the world uses to regulate banks sends another.

After all we've said in the past about fishing being dragged into many threads on a tenuous basis, I think, IMHO, this should have had it's own thread.

Well l do think that the fact that Boris is using our fishing as bait
to catch an equivalence deal from the EU qualifies it as belonging to
this thread, don't you Percy ??
The way things are going, it's time to give up on on that dream l
think ??

Donkeyman! 🤔🤔🤔

BTW, what IS the thread title 🤗🤗

I did read your posts but you do not seem to understand the mechanisms of equivalence and that US banks are already trading with the EU under granted equivalence whereas UK banks are not as equivalence has not been granted.

It seems that reality cares little for your theories regarding equivalence

BTH how am I posting off topic in a thread titled &#@%!? 🤭

Re: &#@%!?

Hi

There were a number of ways of leaving the EU.

I had no problems with either the Single Market or Customs Union.

I simply did not want to be part of the political system that wanted ever closer union.

A Norway deal would have suited me.

We could have had a Switzerland type deal, again this would have suited me.

A series of deals but retaining our own political control.

We choose not to.

We have the type of deal that our elected Government voted for.

The EU are not obliged to give us any equivalence on anything.

The important thing as far as I am concerned is that we are no longer members of the EU.
