And I thought you liked Australian wine, not French.

You're quite right too - in still wines.
The Frogs still have a tiny edge in the sparkling stuff.

They beat everybody on the sparking stuff! I enjoy good wines but I am afraid that I find the Australian Chardonnays a bit too heavy on taste!

Re: Tomorrow

It is all a matter of personal taste, dear (or lack of it).
Of the thousands (literally) of white wines produced here, I wonder how many you have tried.
I prefer a semilon sav blanc or simply a sav blanc - to a chardonnay.

Perhaps you might try any of these - particularly those from the Margaret River region of Western Australia.

I'm not much into reds but if you can spare a few thousand quid ,
an early Penfolds Grange might tickle your taste buds.

'Ere, steady on Pummy, I might afford a bottle, but you can whistle for a whole case!

BTW, is this you by any chance?

Hi

Well strangely enough, I do know of a local cattery which also produces a small amount of wine.

It would remiss of me not to introduce Pummy to our UK wines.

Aussie wines are great, especially the Semillion Chardonays.
Wolf Blass do a good Red Merlot too.
