She certainly is! As a diabetic i have suffered hypoglycemia myself and if your blood sugar goes too low your brain can't function well....which can lead to death.
Sugar, in any form, can restore the body very quickly though (about 15 mins)so cyclist would be wise to always carry glucose tablets when active.

I have the occasional hypo too and it has never affected my brain function... well, that's my opinion anyway!

It's usually in the morning when I feel the symptoms and I have a tube of Refreshers or Love Hearts in my bedside drawer. I just take a few of them an go back to sleep.

Seriously, I consider myself lucky that I have never suffered any more serious consequences of hypoglycaemia.

I have been rushed into hospital a few times, but known nothing about it till I have been bought round.... but I am type1 diabetes.

They make a loud bang with that farting sound.
Then they stink to high heaven.
